Sew. Happy. Quilt. QAL: Fireflies Block

I realized just after I finished the last block that I had missed TWO blocks! The first one I forgot on purpose because it involves templates, which I'm usually afraid of. This one just slipped through the cracks... but glad I found it, as it's a very fun block to make and super pretty! Tomorrow I will hook up my printer and get those templates printed and get to it so I'm all caught up :)

The tutorial for this block can be found here!

A couple more almost finishes

They need to be tied or quilted - not sure how yet!

Another fun IKEA fabric for the back.

And the backing of this quilt was a thrift store find from last summer - vintage sweetness!

Scraptastic picnic quilt

Done! Crib size quilt, with a very cute IKEA fabric on the backside.

Star Crossed Block

I saw this tutorial this morning at Don't Call Me Betsy.  I love cross blocks AND I love star blocks! woo hoo!!

While I was missing my hair appointment...

What a mess!!! Hard to believe such an ugly closet houses so many pretty fabrics!!!

Another re-do...

And another re-do waiting to be stitched up.

The center squares are from Grandmother's Flower Garden by Rosalie Quinlan - my most favorite fabric line of all time!

BOM - January (and some re-dos!)

http://www.quiltdad.com/2012/01/bloggers-bom-block-5.html

And a couple of re-dos (I will be redoing all of them as I've had a d'oh moment and figured out the proper 1/4 in on my machine!! :)

Then these blocks have been hiding in my closet for probably two years. They are made from my most favorite fabrics, and I think the project was put aside until I had more new favorites... and now I have plenty more favorites, as I'm a fabric buying junkie, so I'm going to start working on it again. I got the blocks all laid out on the deck, wearing my slippers when it's in the 30s out, and then the wind came through and blew them all over the place, but here they are! I know I want this quilt for me, but should it be a large twin size throw for the couch OR should I finally bite the bullet and kill myself making something larger?? Hubs and I have a king size bed... we have two couches... maybe two twin size throws...

A few new things to share...

A horrible picture, but once again, the fabrics are cute and it's really quite bright - especially with all that white! I'm waiting on some fabric for extra borders - a lavender gingham and a sweet calico with pink, lavender, red and green... This will be a large baby blanket.

And more stash busting! Here are the starting rows to my Scraptacular Picnic Quilt:

And then I think these are blocks that all came from Simple Sampler Quilt Along at Amy's Creative Side - but I'm losing track!

A couple more group shots of all the 12.5 squares. I'm not sure how many more I should make before putting a quilt top together. They are too much fun to make, so maybe I'll just keep going...
