Idea for new doll quilt
Wouldn't these little girlies be cute appliqued onto a quilt?! Even though I just ordered a bunch more matryoshka doll fabric, these might be fun to work with!
patchwork heating pads
I made these as Christmas time. I made long scarf like ones for the men in my family, but of course didn't take any pictures. They were all stuffed with either jasmine rice or flax seed. A little stinky once heated up, but soothing. My boys loved them. These two pretty ones were for my nieces.
I just found this picture from a while ago - last summer? I would like to make another house quilt. This was just practice.

Finishes...
That is the pillow and backside of the brown eyed girl quilt. I'm not sure why I didn't take a final picture of the front before I shipped it out! From a distance they all sort of look the same anyway... I especially love the back of the quilt!
And here is the finished black eyed doll quilt, and a close up of the detailing on the back. Again, it is so pretty that it can be reversible as well!
And the coordinating pillow...

More Matryoshkas!
Those are the black eyed dolls - I have not used before. And these are the brown eyed dolls, which I've used at least 3 times before? I'm not sure which I like more!
I'll be making pillows for each of these as well - here's the idea for the black eyed doll...

We moved...
and I have not been sewing very much! My new sewing room is above the garage, and we live in NH, so as you can imagine, my sewing room is very, very cold this winter. I learned quickly too that I can't have a space heater and the iron on at the same time, or the room gets very dark all of a sudden!!
I've made a few things however, while wearing thick sweaters and heavy socks :)
When the snow finally melts around here, I will get these outside and photograph them (and the 30 or so quilts I have in storage) and put them in my etsy shop - my poor shop that I have neglected since last spring for summer vacation with my boys. Ahhh!!! How time flies....
